If you are considering getting an abortion, here are some things to think about before deciding what to do.
There are two different methods:
Medication abortion, also known as the "abortion pill" or RU 486. In a medication abortion, Mifeprex is used, together with another medication called misoprostol, to end an early pregnancy through 70 days gestation (70 days or less since the first day of a woman's last menstrual period).
Surgical abortion is a surgical procedure ending a pregnancy by emptying the uterus (or womb) using surgical instruments. There are different types of surgical procedures and different methods (depending on how far along you are).
Questions to think about:
Am I really pregnant?
How far along in the pregnancy am I?
What abortion methods can be used?
What happens after an abortion?
Are there other options available to me?
What if I have already had an abortion?
